The Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel is an archetypical
discount hotel. However, it is a Macau discount
hotel as opposed to a Las Vegas or Monte Carlo
discount hotel. This may not seem like a very
important distinction to make but in terms of
characterizing aspects of a hotel or casino
based on its inclusion in a particular grouping
of buildings it is very important because
discount hotels behave differently in different
parts of the world. Understanding and
appreciating these differences is the first step
towards truly understanding which hotels are the
best ones to go to when you visit a particular
gambling area of the world such as Macau .
In terms of the actual price, the Fu Hua
Guangdong Hotel is not really that different
from the other hotels around. The nightly price
is HKD 800 on average, making it a very cheap
alternative to many of the other hotels in Macau
. It is not the cheapest discount hotel
available in the city but it is a hotel that is
very affordable and for that reason is
definitely a discount hotel. The whole idea
behind the Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel is to create
an experience that is stimulating and fun for
the people that stay there while at the same
time allowing people to save enough money on
their nightly hotel bills that they can then
take the money and spend it somewhere else. Fu
Hua Guangdong Hotel accomplishes this goal
easily and that is why it is most accurate to
think of the Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel as being one
of the major Macau discount hotels.
One of the main criticisms that can be provided
about the Fu Hua Guangdong Hotel is the fact
that it is not really close to any major sources
of gambling. You can still get to casinos
through walking, but the location of the actual
hotel does not really place it close to any
large casino operations. However, there is a
trade-off that you get by choosing this location
because the hotel is located in an area of Macau
known as the Three Lamps District. This area of
Macau is a popular area not only for tourists
but also for local people living in the area
because of two particular reasons. The first is
that there is a lot of bargain shopping to be
had. This allows people the opportunity to
purchase things they want at prices that are
quite a bit cheaper than anything they would
encounter at normal retail centers. The second
is the fact that there are street vendors all
over the place selling treats customary to Macau
that are absolutely delicious. You have one of
those and you will definitely see why staying at
a hotel within walking distance of these vendors
is a good thing to do. If you feel guilty about
enjoying unhealthy snacks you can always walk to
the casino in order to work off some of the
calories you just inserted into your body's
digestive system.
