Introduction
If you are interested in gaming in Macau ,
there are a few things you need to know before
you get started. Of all of those possible topics,
the one that deserves the most attention
arguably is the issue of the actual games. Macau
casinos may be owned by Las Vegas companies and
the casinos themselves may have architecture
that takes after a lot of the extravagance
you'll find in Sin City , but the interiors of
the casinos are not the same. Macau has an
eastern audience to satisfy that Las Vegas does
not have to worry about and for that reason you
will find a number of games in Macau you would
not find in Las Vegas casinos. At the same time
however, some typical western games are removed
to make room for their eastern counterparts.
Western Games
The good news from the point of view of the
average player is that if you enjoy the popular
casino games, you should still be able to find
what you are looking for in Macau . A good
example of this is the fact that every single
Macau casino worth visiting has both slot
machines and blackjack table games available for
you right from the moment you walk in.
Considering these two games represent a majority
of the casino-going population in North America
, it is perhaps safe to reason that the average
person going to a casino in Macau for the first
time will not notice a difference. Most of the
casinos will also have some combination of
baccarat, craps and roulette available, with the
odd other table game from the west coming along
for the ride in some of the larger casinos.
There is no casino in Macau however that
constantly maintains all five of the games
mentioned above.
Eastern Games
Many of the eastern games that can be found in
Macau casinos are games that you are already
familiar with because they have made their way
into the mix in the western hemisphere. A good
example of such a game would be sic bo. It is a
very popular game in China and therefore in
Macau casinos, but you likely already know how
to play it as well because it is an eastern game
that has made it in the western world. Another
example of such a game is keno, with results
being read out faster in Macau casinos than you
would see them in Las Vegas casinos. There are
other eastern games available in Macau casinos
as well that you might not be familiar with. Two
examples of such games are fish prawn crab and
Chinese poker.
Conclusion
As far as casino games go, Macau is a place
that attracts the popular. If you normally game
on slot machines, blackjack or any of the
popular eastern games available in Las Vegas
casinos, you will not have any trouble finding a
game that suits your fancy. If you live on the
second tier casino games of the west however,
you might have a hard time finding what you are
looking for when you visit a casino in Macau.
