Macau is a city of gambling, of that there can be no doubt in anyone's mind. If you are looking for a vacation to Macau then chances are pretty good that you have gambling in mind. There are very few people nowadays that visit Macau and do not gamble at all during their stay unless they are with other people that gamble and they need to find other ways to pass their time. Unlike Las Vegas which has become a city of everything as far as tourism is concerned, Macau has not yet reached the level of maturity in its evolution to come to a point where it can institute services that will appeal broadly to a bunch of people that do not gamble. This does not mean that there are activities of a non-gambling nature available in Macau however as there are quite a few that you can go to if you would like to take a break from your gambling activities.
A good example of such an activity is go karting. Considering that go karting is one of the big alternatives to gambling for people that have played in a casino for hours and need a break from playing in the casino, it is quite easy to see the evidence of what was said in the previous paragraph regarding Macau's lack of secondary tourism venues to truly make the city a world tourism destination for anyone that wants to do anything in the same vein as Las Vegas currently is. Go karting is an activity that is available around the world and while there is nothing particularly unique about the way it is done in Macau, it is still a very fun activity that can be used to eat up a few hours of time while you take a break from the casino.
The go karting track that is currently available is located on Cotai. To be more specific, it is located on the southern tip of Cotai and this in turn makes it very easily accessible to anyone that would like to visit it from the city of Macau . You might not have the same ease of walking to it that you would have between the hotel and the casino that you are staying at in Macau , but getting there is still a relatively easy matter.
Once you have arrived at the go karting track, the next step is to register yourself and get a kart to actually go out on the track and drive around. You'll find that the fees for using the track and renting a car are actually quite reasonable which is good for anyone that may have lost a lot of cash at the casino. Go karting in Macau is a very popular secondary activity for this reason as gamblers that do not have a lot of cash left on them to do something end up going go karting or doing some other activity because of the fact that it is cheap. Go karting is also a fun activity for the family and you might see quite a few youths on the track at any one point in time.
