If you are going to be gambling at a casino in Macau , there are a number of things you should know beforehand. A lot of these things have already been discussed in other articles, but there are also little things in addition to the big things you should keep in mind. Some of these little things are presented below in a list of Macau casino tips.
1) Keep in mind that the hours of operation information you receive from a particular casino only refers to the time the building is open. If you go by the hours of operation you will find that the casino is always open, but this is also a misleading piece of information. The casino being open only really means that the slot machines are in operation. Other parts of the casino such as tables will change numbers as staff members go off duty and tables are closed up during the off-peak periods and this means that the game that you want might not be available around the clock. This is often surprising to people that do not think about it beforehand, so make sure you realize this before you get mad at a casino operator for not carrying that extra game of baccarat at 3:30 in the morning.
2) Generally speaking, you will find that Macau is a bit less generous than Las Vegas when it comes to dishing out the complimentary items. Las Vegas casinos exist that offer free alcoholic beverages to people that come into their midst whereas there is no casino in Macau that will do this for just anyone. As you get into the VIP levels by having more and more money wagered on games at Macau you will find that the resort opens up to you a bit more, but even this takes a lot longer in Macau than it does in Las Vegas . As the city begins to grow more and more in terms of gambling there is no doubt that their complimentary policies will change to a position similar to what Las Vegas currently has, but that time is certainly not now. With this in mind, do not expect the same level of complimentary items in Macau that you would get in Las Vegas .
3) There is a lot more uniformity in Macau in terms of how the games operate. There are a lot of casinos that carry blackjack and baccarat as well as a lot of casinos that carry sic bo and fish prawn crab. There are not that many casinos that carry second tier games from the western world like let it ride or casino war. What this basically means is that if you are a fan of popular games you will not have any problems finding what you want in Macau but if you are a fan of games that are less popular you might not find what you are looking for when push comes to shove. Make sure you keep this in mind when evaluating your opportunities in the Macau casino market.
